Hi, I’m Deedra!
An empathetic, down-to-earth counselor who believes therapy can be both meaningful and a little fun. With over a decade of experience as a high school counselor, I’ve spent my career supporting adolescents and young adults through anxiety, depression, stress and life transitions. In this role, I have provided both individual and group counseling, responded to crises, collaborated with families and outside providers, and led school-wide mental health initiatives. These experiences shaped my ability to remain calm in high-stress situations, connect quickly with clients, and offer practical tools that truly work in real life.
My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and practical. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while also building realistic, strengths-based solutions. I love helping clients identify what’s already working, learn new coping skills, and gain confidence in their ability to navigate challenges.
I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be yourself, laugh when appropriate, and still do the deep work needed for growth. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for change, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and support.
