What to Expect

What happens once you make the call?

We call you back!

We don’t have office staff as the dogs haven’t figured out how to answer phones yet, so you may get a voicemail. But we will call you back in between sessions and no more than 24 hours after you left a message… unless it’s the weekend, and then we are regrouping for next week!

Once you’ve contacted us and spoken with a counselor, we’ll set up your intake appointment.

We’ll get your email address and send you over our paperwork along with some helpful info to know before your appointment.

Finding our office can be a little tricky.

We’re located on the north side of the yellow building, back against the canal.

When you enter our suite, you’re in our waiting room which offers a comfortable range of seating, reading material, and our fish are there to greet you. We’ll be out to greet you personally at your scheduled appointment time!

If by chance you have to use the bathroom, it’s behind the glass door of the waiting room. You can walk straight back and then return to the waiting room so your counselor can meet you promptly at your appointment time.

Please don’t knock or bang on the door. We know you’re there. When we’ve finished with the client or meeting before you, we promise to value your time and be prompt to greet you in the waiting room

You may hear dogs saying hello…

…(it sounds like barking), laughing, crying, banging toys, or a gentle sound of air moving through our sound machines.

These are the sounds of our office therapy happening!

Sometimes we have music playing, but have found others shut if off for some quiet time in our waiting area.

Oh, and don’t be surprised to find us casual! We want you to feel comfortable, and you’ll find us the same way.

We spend a lot of time on the floor, outside, and on yoga balls – so comfort is key!

If you find yourself with dog hair, there are lint rollers located around the office, as well.
